About Your Case : I need a transcript of my court proceeding. What do I do?

Question

I need a transcript of my court proceeding.  What do I do?

Answer

Call the Clerk of Court to get the exact date of the hearing or trial and the name of the court reporter present for that division on that date.  Call the court reporter to get an estimate on the cost of the transcript.  A transcript will be provided only upon receipt of payment for the cost of the transcript.  If a court reporter cannot be reached at the judge's office, call the office of the Court Administrator (985) 809-5300 to request contact information.
