Business Hours of Operation : What happens in the case of an emergency closing?

Question

What happens in the case of an emergency closing?

Answer

In cases of emergency, the Chief Judge may order the closure of court at either or both the St. Tammany Justice Center and Washington Parish Courthouse.  Court orders to this effect are posted on this website.  Other court-related agencies, such as the Clerk of Court, may be open even when court is closed.  Those agencies should be contacted for their closures.
