• Three children, Bryan, a graduate of LSU Law School; Christy, a graduate of LSU Nursing School; and Jason, a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University.

Education:

• High School - Columbia High School, Columbia, Mississippi - 1970;
• Prepatory Education - Northeast Louisiana University - 1970-1973; B.A.;
• Legal Education - Louisiana State University - 1973-1976; Juris Doctor-1976.
• Master's in Judicial Studies Program - University of Nevada, Reno - currently enrolled.

• 1976-1979 Associate with Hudson, Potts, and Bernstein, Monroe, LA;
• 1979-1985 Assistant District Attorney, Washington and St. Tammany Parishes;
• 1979-2002 Practiced a mixed civil and criminal practice, primarily as the Law Office of William J. Knight;
• January 2003-Present Serving as District Judge, 22nd JDC, Division "J."
